Why rent an apartment or villa in Nerja?

Thailand

Nerja is the most Eastern town of the Province of Malaga, almost bordering the Province of Granada, Spain. Due to its location it is a very versatile destination, the ski resort of Pradollano is only 2 hours away, and Malaga International Airport 1 hour away. There are various golf courses, commercial centres and historical monuments only a few minutes away by car.

Nerja is a tourist town on the Costa del Sol (“Coast of the Sun”), which has an official population of 22,000 residents, a third of which are foreign residents. Nerja is part of the local region of the Axarquía, which has lots of attractions, one of the most famous being the Nerja Caves and the paintings within, known internationally, which have an important historical value, and are an important historical reference point in the south of the Iberian peninsular.

Nerja is history: with the Balcón de Europa, an unforgettable place, which was inaugurated by the King Alfonso XII in 1885.

Nerja is nature: with the Natural Parks of the Sierra Tejeda, Alama and Almijara and the Natural Park of the Cliffs of Maro.

Nerja stands out for its subtropical climate very similar to that of the Coast of the Province of Granada.

Nerja´s gastronomy is based on the Mediterranean diet in which the produce of the sea plays a vital and truly delicious part.

Nerja has many restaurants, bars, pubs, discos. It offers a cultural and historical experience as well as numerous activities such as golf, diving, walking/trekking, horse riding, buggies/quad bikes and much more.

Located 7 kilometers north of Nerja lies the picturesque white village of Frigiliana. There is a vast array of idyllic apartments and villas for rent in Frigiliana. Situated in the Natural Park of the Sierras de Almijara, Tejeda and Alhama, Frigiliana is a an enchanting Andalucian village with a population of approximately 3,700 residents. Its old town, with its Moorish roots, is characterised by its white houses and an abundant decoration of flowers, particularly jasmine and geraniums. The village is 300 metres above sea level and the climate is subtropical.

Frigiliana is a hideway in which to lose oneself in the delights of its picturesque narrow streets. There are various monuments, amongst them el Ingenio (the refinery), built in Renaissance style in 1508. Nowadays el Ingenio houses the only cane honey factory in Europe. In the centre of the old village you will find the Renaissance style church of San Antonio de Padua, built in 1676. The Moorish part of the old town is considered by some as the most authentic architectural building of arab origin that exists in the province of Malaga.

Frigiliana offers wonderful food experiences, with typical dishes such as las migas, choto con almendras, berenjenas con miel, all watered down with the excellent local muscatel wines.

Located 10 kilometers west of Nerja you will find the coastal town or Torrox. There are two main areas, to the east and to the west of the Torrox Lighthouse. To the east one finds beaches such as Vilches, Calaceite o el Peñoncillo, which are quite isolated, of dark sand and not very busy, ideal for a stroll or to relax. To the west of the Lighthouse, we find the residential areas and the beaches of el Cenicero, Ferrara, el Morche with full services and family atmosphere, which are very busy in summer.

The Roman ruins, situated very near to Torrox Lighthouse, are a site corresponding to the roman occupation of the area known as Clavicum, founded in the 1st Century. There can be found the remains of a small town, a necropolis, hot springs, large stone sinks for the making of Garum, and communal ceramic ovens. Stone watchtowers, which date from the Muslim era, are found in el Peñoncillo and in the River Güi.

Torrox offers an excellent selection of restaurants, bars, pubs and cultural experiences. Torrox offers many activities such as golf, diving, walking/trekking, buggy/quad bikes. And, of course, in Torrox you will enjoy the “best climate of Europe”. Torrox has a good selection of apartments for rent that overlook the main sea-front promenade. You may, however, prefer to rent a villa in land with a private pool at very reasonable prices!

Why Thailand?

Thailand is a perfect destination for those who rent their home or villa that you want for a number of reasons:

Which region should see Thai?

Visitors to Thailand are now spoiled for choice, with all villas in shorter stays kingdom. For is advisable to maintain a single goal, to avoid the hassles of traveling and exploring in depth a location of your choice. For longer stays, why not combine a stay in two very different places, so that the burden of a country and its diversity, taking advantage of the favorable domesticTravel networks? (See below)

Thailand is generally divided into four regions.

Bangkok and Central Plains

Bangkok is a teeming metropolis despite their famous frozen transport and roads, offers a variety of things to do and discover, to explore those with the patience and will. The restaurants in Bangkok are second to none, if you are looking for Thai or foreign courts, and earn their weekends and other markets to be discovered, like many of hislesser-known temples. A cruise on the Chao Phraya river – perhaps by private chartered boat long tail – is an excellent way to see most of the city's reduced to tears by the market.

The North

The north is home to cities such as Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Mae Hong Son with tropical jungle and mountains to the north attracts those looking for trekking and places of natural beauty. You try to avoid the big cities, such as tourism has developed hereYou run the risk of simply "processed" through a series of popular elephant camp and hill tribe trekking wrought …

The Northeast

The Northeast is the largest region of the Empire, still largely untouched by tourism. The north-east (or ISAN) is the rice bowl of the country, and is predominantly agricultural, rice, sugarcane, cassava, eucalyptus, and more and more rubber. Important centers and Khon Kaen, Udon Thani, and the mighty Mekong River twentyout along this region. The people here are perhaps the most open and happy in the country, perhaps because their lives are based in the village where the traditions of consumers open much slower progress than other parts of the nation's booming. Travel in the Northeast is recommended for those who have a unique experience to get away from the crowds, and dive into something new.

The South

The south of Thailand is famous for its famousBeaches and seaside resorts such as Phuket, Krabi and Koh Samui. Some apartments most expensive country can be found here. Travellers should be aware of security issues in the south and to avoid travel in the provinces to the south: Your local government Web site is updated travel advice with recommendations and warnings posted.

The villa market

Holiday homes in Thailand fall more in one of two categories. They are both privatelyPossession of itself apartments, villas or units that are part of a tourist complex. These groups are very different!

Resort Villas

The Villa Resort centered mainly an inventory of top resort room and will be priced accordingly. In many cases, these villas have been designed by professional designer hotel in person, and then to a third party buyer, which in turn joins the rental managed by the developer to provide a return on investments soldVilla takeover acquirer.

The advantage is that the detainees Villa will normally be eligible for the facilities or services provided by the property, even if the prices of the resort. The disadvantage is that for those seeking a more authentic, they are only guests in a holiday complex, and it is another – if well-paid "key".

Private villas stand-alone

private villas are generally in possession of second homesPeople, is on an individually-held land.

These can be rented "as is" with guests get the key to start the trip and then again at the end, with or without cleaning or security deposit. Alternatively, the villa have its own staff, usually living on the property, but to take care available during your stay, cleaning, laundry, kitchen or on site visits, etc.

Whether you are a resort villa or privately run hotel, you shouldexpect that a partial payment to be paid at time of booking by credit card or guarantee transmitted through a wire.

Tested

We tried a number of holiday villa in Thailand, and the bottom mark a resort villa and a private villa – each with a great vacation, but very different experience.

Green Gecko, Northeast Thailand

Green Gecko is a privately owned house, in a large estate, surrounded by forests, plantations and rice fieldsin the heart of rural northeastern Thailand, near a town called Udon Thani. Free transfer from airport to airport were arranged on the Internet through a 50 minutes flight from Bangkok with Thai Airways and budget airlines Nok Air and Air Asia.

In contrast to mainstream sites, our stay here we were able to discover and experience the real Thailand, off the beaten track.

The villa has been traditional Thai architecture: an impressive wooden staircase led up to the sublimeand closed wooden bridge, where our beautiful private swimming pool, was with a magnificent view over the surrounding countryside and the sunset in the evening. The roofs of terracotta tiles gave the house an almost temple. And covered a greater "room" offered protection from the midday sun and stronger became our favorite spot, overlooking the pool.

From the bridge in two separate buildings, two bedrooms (eachair conditioning), and the living room and dining room and kitchen. The bedroom had a solid teak four-poster bed, king-size bed, out with a cotton cloth, blankets and pillows, a large adjoining bathroom and toilet and shower in the garden. The second bedroom has a queen-size canopy bed, again with a large adjoining bathroom.

The main air-conditioned room with a table and chairs for six people, a living room with comfortable sofas and viewsIndoor pool and an underground area with futon to relax in front of the large LCD TV (with a separate high-end home theater system and international channels) equipped. Leading out from this area (behind sliding wood panels) was an additional WC and a fully equipped Western (with built-in microwave, oven, etc.) which in turn by a Thai kitchen in stainless steel.

We must confess that all this seemed very easy to use, but we never usedThe kitchen – with the exception of help from ourselves, a couple of cold beers from the fridge! While the owner is a former chef, prepares all its meals the guests during their stay, the change in the composition of the wort or tastes of its guests. We were pleased to be displayed in the gardens, a number of herbs and spices, then collect, how they were mind wonderfully fresh and sparkling North Eastern dishes shown. We tried the classics: Thai food is certainlyyour mouth water, and staying in a house like this, where all meals are prepared for you by a chef who is willing to share its secrets, has been a blessing!

We spent a lot of time just lazing by the pool in complete privacy, but also enjoyed a series of trips with our guests to some of the sights and sounds to experience the Northeast. This included a spectacular trip in a small wooden boat on a lake, which was essentially a vast expanse of pink lotus flowers, only interrupted byoccasional fisherman or water buffalo wallowing (Propositions marriage, take note!) We also visited a local museum, which seems to refer to Thailand as the home of the Bronze Age, and a series of noisy, colorful festivals and markets wet, and silk farms and cobra. But our lasting impression of rural simplicity and friendly people was always sure to be, we enjoyed our stay and sample an endless variety of local food and drink!

Green Gecko can be bookedStays of 2 nights or more through the website, where you can be checked for availability and prices on-line (about U.S. $ 280 including all transfers of service and food).

The Villas at Napasai, Southern Thailand

The beachfront villas are within the complex Napasai resort located on the north coast of the island's luxury Koh Samui in southern Thailand province of Surat Thani. Koh Samui is on the web by Bangkok Airways from Bangkok, with flights in about an hour (depending on the airplane or waiting).

The resort is part of Orient-Express Hotels, Trains & Cruises: as such, both the villa and the stationprofessionally managed, and we could choose our meals of Thai cuisine to choose from, after a visit to local markets, or simply for the excellent Thai restaurant in the resort's evening stroll.

The villas themselves have been removed at one end of the land between incredibly steep slope behind our house and the sea at Sandwich. Each villa is graded down the hill to the coast. We lived in a villa with two bedrooms, but with three bedroom properties were alsoavailable. Besides the two well-appointed bedrooms, our property has had a large living room and dining room with its own kitchen, living room by a maid, and the ground floor, a private pool and "chill out". The living room was well appointed and had a DVD player, satellite TV, balcony and lovely sea view, where almost every night.

The island of Koh Samui is an important center of international tourism, and as such, many activities are available for guests in the explorationWaterfalls, elephant riding, paintball, water sports, diving, fishing, golf, etc. The hotel also offers boat tours, Thai cooking classes, tennis courts, a fitness center and spa.

We booked online at the hotel, taking advantage of a special offer. Prices for a villa with two bedrooms are seasonal and start at around U.S. $ 850 per night including American breakfast.
